June Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

Did you take part in last week’s Steamboat Marathon? If so, congratulations! Regardless of your final time or standing, being brave enough to take each and every step of that physical and mental journey is admirable. For us artists, at times, embarking on a creative journey can seem similarly daunting. It takes courage to silence the inner critic, to push through self-doubt, and to persist despite the fear of failure. Courage is the fuel that propels us forward, enabling us to express our unique vision, challenge conventions, and carve out our creative identity. As always, we thank you for being part of our gallery’s journey and we invite you to enjoy our new group exhibition entitled Journey. The grand opening will take place during First Friday Artwalk this Friday, June 7th, 5–8pm. We are open daily 11am–6pm. See you soon!

May Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

Play in art making is essential. It encourages exploration, spontaneity and joy in creative discovery. Many times it is through the process of experimenting and playing with new techniques, materials or concepts, that innovative and thought-provoking works are created. It is a wonderful way to learn and push creative boundaries. During the month of May, all of us at Pine Moon Fine Art decided to play. Entitled ‘Games’ our new exhibition includes not only a unique body of work but also literal games you can come in to play in our gallery space. We invite you to join us this Friday, May 3rd, 5–8pm, for First Friday Artwalk and the opening of this fun exhibition. We hope you will stay to browse through our artists’ interpretations of various games and also perhaps play a game yourself. We are open every day 11am–6pm.

April Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

Are you a waterfall aficionado? If so, do we have an exhibition for you! This month, our front gallery is brimming with an exciting variety of waterfall interpretations by our talented artists. Fish Creek Falls is the name of our all-artist show. Each piece within it aims to capture the mesmerizing cascading water as it tumbles down rugged cliffs with a force that is both exhilarating and soothing. Waterfalls remind us of nature's ability to both humble and inspire us. We hope you enjoy the show. Join us for the grand opening this Friday, April 5th, 5–8pm during First Friday Artwalk.

Please also note the gallery will be closed for spring break (and spring cleaning) April 22–28.

March Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

Traveling has a unique way of sparking inspiration. As one immerses in unfamiliar landscapes, cultures, and experiences, a wealth of new sights, sounds, and emotions can ignite the creative spirit. During the month of March, we are proud to feature a joint exhibition by ‘en plein air’ painter Susan Gill Jackson and nature photographer Abby Jensen entitled OPEN ROAD: ARTWORK FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY. We invite you to enjoy their thoughtful and compelling interpretations of scenery from Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Louisiana, and Colorado. This beautiful collection is a testament that in their travels, the journey became an integral part of their art-making process, infusing each piece with a rich tapestry of memories and inspiration. The opening reception is this Friday, March 1st, 5:00–8:00pm during First Friday Artwalk.

Please also join us for our next Artist Talk on Thursday, March 7th, 5:30–6:30pm. Susie and Abby will talk about their background, process, travels and the making of their joint exhibition.

GOOD NEWS:

All of our talented artists at Pine Moon share in exciting, unique, and divergent interests beyond that of their art. After a 2-year hiatus, Abby hit the show ring with her 6 year old Half-Arabian, home-bred horse JSN Winston Churchill. This new partnership is proving to be a great one, winning a Reserve Championship at the Scottsdale Arabian horse show this February. She and Winston are looking forward to competing at regionals in May and US Nationals in October.

Also in February, Attila Feszt traveled to Puerto Rico to serve as the Vice President of the Bahamian Surfing Association. He is there for a world surfing competition that will determine Olympic status. Good luck team!

February Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

Can you believe February is here? This month we have collectively set out to create an exhibition that embodies the very best of our work. Best Foot Forward: An All Artist Exhibition is evidence our artists pour their innermost creativity and imagination, their skills, their passion, their curiosities, and their heart into the artwork they produce. Each and every artistic expression is both personal and authentic and, as we all celebrate love and honor the relationships that bring joy and warmth to our lives, we hope their love for art, and for sharing it with you, also comes through this month. Join us this Friday February 2nd, 5:00-8:00 pm for our monthly Artwalk and the official opening of the show.

We are also continuing our Artist Talk Series on Thursday, February 8th, 5:30 - 6:30 pm. This has become a wonderful event and opportunity to learn in depth about the background and artistic process of our artists. In February we will be featuring Jennifer Baker and Sandi Poltorak. These ladies are both masters of their craft, Jennifer Baker working with kiln formed glass, and Sandi Poltorak working with graphite and charcoal. Over the last couple of years, they have done many beautiful collaborations together. Come and learn how they create artwork individually and in partnership.
