August Newsletter

Wolves, with their untamed beauty and beguiling nature, have long captivated the human imagination. Often portrayed as symbols of strength, these majestic creatures have a complex social structure that fosters an unparalleled sense of loyalty within their packs. While their piercing howls under a silver moon may evoke a sense of primordial mystery, these highly intelligent predators are a vital part of the natural world, showcasing adaptability, resilience, and an unwavering spirit of survival.

During the month of August, our front gallery will be filled with an incredible collection of images captured by nature photographer Abby Jensen. These works are the culmination of keen observation and thorough documentation near Churchill Wild’s most remote eco lodge, Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge, in Canada. We hope you will join us for the opening reception of Cloud Wolves of the Kaska Coast this Friday, August 4th, 5–8pm.

July Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

Throughout history, collaboration has proven to be the backbone of creativity and innovation. Collaboration brings together different perspectives, skills, knowledge and insight which create something greater than what can be achieved alone. It fosters trust, communication and, when it comes to art, it fuels creativity by transcending the artist’s and medium’s individual point of view and abilities.

This month our gallery is proud to present a unique collaborative exhibition by glass artist Jennifer Baker and graphite artist Sandi Poltorak entitled Glass. Glass and Paper. Paper. This unique collection of works includes individual pieces by each artist and also works that merge both mediums in a completely innovative and unique way. We hope you will join us for the opening reception of this exciting show this Friday, July 7th, 5–8pm. The show will be on view the whole month of July. We are open daily 11am–6pm. See you soon!

June Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

Nighttime is a magical time of day. The world transforms into something entirely different as the sun sets in the sky, and the stars and moon reveal themselves, illuminating everything in a soft glow. Nighttime brings a sense of mystery and intrigue, as creatures that prefer the cover of darkness come out to play.

This month, as we near the summer solstice, our front gallery brims with artwork that celebrates the transition from day to night. Nightfall, a two-person exhibition created by artists Jill Bergman and Paulina M. Johnson, features a collection of unique works that will be on view through the end of the month. Opening reception is this Friday, June 2nd, 5–8pm. We hope you will join us for this incredible show.

May Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

Welcome to May! Perhaps your little corner of the world is in full spring bloom. Here in Steamboat, the process of regeneration and rebirth has only just begun. After many months of snow, we’re beginning to see the greens of the grass and hoping the trees will follow soon. Individually, each natural element blooms in its own time, but together they make the whole of the gorgeous landscapes we call home. In much the same way, all of us at Pine Moon see ourselves as a small part of the whole that makes Steamboat Springs. We strive to constantly support our community and, this month, we are excited to celebrate local young artists.

Perspectives is a group show featuring not only Pine Moon artists, but also students from Steamboat Springs Middle School, Sleeping Giant, Strawberry Park and Soda Creek Elementary. Works selected by art teachers from these schools will be on display through the month of May. Opening reception is this Friday, May 5th, 5–8pm. We hope you will join us and experience the ways in which artists have explored the concept of perspective. See you soon!

April Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

All of our artists are Steamboat Springs locals. They draw inspiration for their artwork from the surroundings here in beautiful Colorado. During this time of transition between winter and spring, many crave the scenery and experiences from other places around the world. For the month of April, Pine Moon Fine Art presents Anywhere But Here, a unique all-artist exhibition that includes inspiration from outside our little paradise of Steamboat Springs. Before you go “anywhere but here” over spring break, be sure to visit and meet the artists at the opening on Friday April 7th, 5-8 during ArtWalk. The gallery will be closed on Easter and then again from April 16th through the 23rd while we go out seeking new sights!
